Backend Engineer

Help give life to the digital connections that reverberate in our physical world.

You’ll be joining a versatile team of two. Yatú keeps us moving as the Head of Reality, while Norm keeps us imagining as the Head of Fiction. We’re based in New York City building a worldwide network.

We're looking for a Backend Engineer who embodies our spirit of rapid learning and building the essentials. As a crucial member of the team, you’ll help take possibilities from the drawing board to the lived experience of USB Club members.

You’ll shape our infrastructure by:

• Architecting, developing, and refining our backend systems.
• Designing, testing, and maintaining efficient, reliable, and reusable code.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues across our product ecosystem.
• Implementing and upholding security best practices.

Skillsets for the role include:

• Proficiency in NodeJS & Typescript.
• Proficiency in SQL databases.
• Experience with AWS and DevOps.
• Experience with designing and implementing scalable systems.
• Ability to articulate complex technical concepts effectively.
